Holiday Accommodation Las Alpujarras, Sierra Nevada, Spain |
||||
Luxury self catering & full board holiday accommodation in Lanjaron, known as the gateway to Las Alpujarras. Situated in the Sierra Nevada mountain range "Alpujarras Farmhouse" offers a holiday to remember. Luxury Holiday Cottages |
We have four rural holiday rentals in Las Alpujarras available throughout the year for you to enjoy a relaxing break with fantastic views. In summer there is a swimming pool for all to take a nice cool dip and in winter you take advantage of our home cooked meals which are served in front of the big open fire together with family, friends and the dogs usually taking pride of place on the rug by the fire. La Casa del Viento is the main house of the property where I live. It has a fantastic view from the kitchen window over the village of Lanjaron and the Sierra Nevada mountains of Andalucia. Breath taking views There are pretty flower gardens, paths, nooks and crannies around the cottages (casitas) for you to sit or wander. If you go down the track onto the rugged terraces below the houses you will find my vegetable garden and every variety of fruit and nut trees but my main crop is ‘the olive’. The Alpaujarras area is a wonderful area of Spain. |
See the real Spain and take in the beautiful mountain views of the Sierra Nevada. Our holiday rentals in Lanjaron are perfect for both relaxing as well as for those wanting an adventure holiday in Las Alpujarras. "A wonderful place to stay - set in terraces of olives, oranges, almonds, flowers, above the town of Lanjaron. Topped off by loads of yummy food. Recommended!" ‘‘I love it here so I just have to share it with you’’ Dine with us! Other events have been held here on request, for example weddings and birthday parties. I have also had requests to do some cookery classes – I’m certainly willing to do this although not trained to and only consider myself a ‘family cook’. It is particularly popular with the English from the village, but the Spanish are also intrigued with our Sunday ritual. We can more often than not still eat outside, taking in the views and a bit of sun. I use as much home grown produce as possible every day and am continually bottling and preserving. I also like to shop locally for fresh local produce, meat, fruit and vegetables in particular.
