So i have been helping Ann here at La Casa Del Viento for nearly two and a half months. Working here has allowed me to try a whole variety of new things such as harvesting Almonds from the trees and picking Olives. These are two things that i am sure can only be done here in Andalusia Spain, or atleast its how i imagine the original Spanish culture to be. Living and working here in Lanjaron allows me to experience the untouched Spanish culture which i find to be rare in Western Europe.

Today i have been working in the Veg Garden which is two terraces below the accomodation here at La Casa Del Viento. I have been preparing the land to create new veg patches in order to grow produce which will all be used to create amazing dishes by our lovely host. Working here has allowed me to see and understand the process of growing produce and actually seeing it get used in a whole variety of ways has been a great experience.

I look forward to seeing some new seeds being planted so i can feel my job is complete !
