Christmas Festivities

Tomorrow marks the last of the Casa Del Viento Sunday Roast Lunches for the year. With the holidays approaching our lunches have taken on a traditional English Christmas theme. complete with roast turkey and ham, Christmas pudding, and even crackers! Being from the United States myself, I had never seen a real English cracker before. I've been enjoying them so much that I'm fully intending on bringing the tradition home when I return.

A Day At La Casa Del Viento

So i have been helping Ann here at La Casa Del Viento for nearly two and a half months. Working here has allowed me to try a whole variety of new things such as harvesting Almonds from the trees and picking Olives. These are two things that i am sure can only be done here in Andalusia Spain, or atleast its how i imagine the original Spanish culture to be. Living and working here in Lanjaron allows me to experience the untouched Spanish culture which i find to be rare in Western Europe.

Its Christmas time of year

Lately at La Casa del Viento it's been setting up and getting ready for the holiday season, with the Christmas tree now up (put up Today by eve and I) the Christmas music is blaring and the kitchen smells of all the delicious food we will be enjoying tomorrow for Sunday lunch.
