Lately at La Casa del Viento it's been setting up and getting ready for the holiday season, with the Christmas tree now up (put up Today by eve and I) the Christmas music is blaring and the kitchen smells of all the delicious food we will be enjoying tomorrow for Sunday lunch.

Ive been helping here at La Casa del Viento for about two months now and enjoying every minute of it, the work days are enjoyable aswell as the two days we get off a week to enjoy the surroundings and take beautiful hikes along the mountain sides and of coarse enjoying a tinto or two in town.

During the work days we have an assortment of different jobs to always keep things interesting, whether its planting or gardening, picking olives or cooking dinner theres always something here to keep us busy. Of coarse one of the best things about staying here is the amazing food that Ann is always preparing for us. As a helper I didnt think I would be eating so well but she is ver y concious of us being well fed at all times.

There is no worry about being too cold or uncomfortable with the heaters that are available to us as well as the fire places set up in each of the casitas and the very comfortable beds and living spaces. After having lived here for so long this place is starting to feel like a second home and Ann is always reffering to us as her children. Also all the animals are a great addition to the life here, extremly friendly and great company.
