With my phrase book still gripped firmly between my fingers I stepped forward from the back of the station platform and approached the elderly but robust looking driver and uttered, in my absolute best Spanish, the phrase I had been repeating to myself over and over for the last 10 minutes. Sadly the response it drew was not what I had hoped for; in fact the poor man looked at me as if I had just addressed him in Swahili. A Day At La Casa Del Viento

So i have been helping Ann here at La Casa Del Viento for nearly two and a half months. Working here has allowed me to try a whole variety of new things such as harvesting Almonds from the trees and picking Olives. These are two things that i am sure can only be done here in Andalusia Spain, or atleast its how i imagine the original Spanish culture to be. Living and working here in Lanjaron allows me to experience the untouched Spanish culture which i find to be rare in Western Europe.
