La Casita Sierra Accomodation in Lanjaron, Las Alpujarras
Casita Sierra has a double bedroom, a large shower room and a lounge/kitchen with the traditional log burner It was built for my daughter and her husband as their holiday home, they are crazy snowboarders so it has a touch of them, with their redundant snowboards being made into a seat on the patio and snowy pictures on the walls.There is outdoor eating on the patio to
the front which looks over the swimming pool and to the side there is
shade under the olive tree or a lawn area to sit quietly on.
Situated behind the main house is the large swimming pool approximately 12x10 and 8ft deep, which makes it very popular for diving. It has wide stone steps and a slope in one corner for those needing a steady approach. It is up and running from Easter until the school half term around the end of October and can be used at any time. Down one side we have a number of sun beds with shade of olive trees and large umbrellas. To the end there is an honesty bar with cooking facilities and a barbeque, (which can be used by arrangements). I often use this area for clients evening meals so there are a number of tables and chairs set up The pool, bar and bbq.area are surrounded by trees and hedges so it is very private and sheltered. |
Casita Sierra is the newest addition,
converted from an outbuilding it has been rebuilt with the same
rustic style in mind, with pine beams, doors and windows. Local arts
and crafts have been added, floor and wall tiles, a stain glass
window and local pottery, in particular the Granada design.
